A Mobilizer Award-Winning Perspective: The U.S. Air Force

Managing supply chain data with automatic identification technology (AIT) in the USAF used to involve many disparate logical systems with dedicated hardware, resulting in users having to switch between hardware and interfaces for managing each part of the supply chain. In this year's Mobilizer Award Spotlight, you will learn how the USAF has implemented a combination of mobile computing and an enterprise data collection layer to allow its more than 600 disparate logical systems to now share a common AIT architecture while still fitting into the stringent security guidelines of the USAF.
