David Marlin is the executive strategy and communications manager for Whirlpool Corporation’s Global Information Systems (GIS) organization. In this capacity he oversees both the strategic development and alignment activities for all CIO-level communications and planning. He also is responsible for organizational effectiveness activities in the office of the CIO. Examples include:
• Providing guidance and focus for executive-level discussions;
• Consulting on strategic direction of IT organization
• Evaluating situational needs and negotiate leadership team involvement
• Leading organizational process design initiative aimed at aligning all functional operating models

Since joining Whirlpool Corporation in 2004, David has held positions of increasing accountability and leadership throughout the Infrastructure and Program Management functions of the GIS organization. Prior to joining Whirlpool, David was an IT consultant, focusing on infrastructure networking, systems integration, CRM and service.
