New Year, New Look
By Lori Castle, Editor in Chief
In turning the pages of the print issue, you’ll notice we made a few design changes to enhance your UX — yes you can have one of those sans technology — and we appreciate your continued interest in Mobile Enterprise magazine. If you don't receive the print issue, subscribe here.
It might be a little paradoxical for us to cover fast-moving mobile technology in print, but we repeatedly hear how much you value the magazine and appreciate the chance to provide in-depth coverage.
The start of our improvements comes in the print pages, in how they look and, in some cases, through new content. In the “News” section we added a spot for “Social” where we’ll include an interesting post from one of our sites.
I’ve noted it several times in this issue, and since apps are running the business, we added a spot in the “Tools” section to highlight some of the latest enterprise apps.
You’ll still see a leading CIO talk about his or her top mobile challenges and successes in the “CIO Q&A” articles, but now we’ll try to feature them in the “Gadgets” article as well, where you will see a different side of the executive.
Online and on the device, for 2013, we have a website redesign and a mobile version of the magazine in the works.
To start the year off in this issue, we look back at the Mobile Executive Enterprise Summit. We also examine and try to help solve your top five IT headaches.
And, if you still don’t quite get the business case for MEAPs, or just want to understand which solution is the right one for your organization, our supplement is a must read.
The Super Bowl is only a few weeks away, so for all you football fans, check out the case study on how the Cleveland Browns are using iPads on and in the field.
Speaking of new, it will be exciting to see what mobile technology will bring in the coming year. Happy 2013!
