Motion Computing is offering two new slate tablet PCs with Intel Core vPro processors. The rugged F5v Tablet PC and C5v MCA offer Intel Core i7 or Core i5 vPro technology, enabling a significant improvement in performance and battery life over previous solutions. The new technology will enable IT technicians to repair and secure the PC from any location, even while powered-down or in sleep mode. OS choices are Windows 7 or Windows XP. Security features include fully manageable hard drive encryption and Intel Anti-Theft technology used with Computrace. The devices have integrated Gobi2000 mobile broadband supporting multi-mode 3G mobile Internet access on either HSPA or CDMA2000 EV-DO networks. Tested to withstand harsh environments, both devices meet MIL-STD-810G and IP-54 standards. Prices: F5v, $2,548; C5v, $2,299. www.motioncomputing.com
