Magellan's MobileMapper 6 is a rugged, waterproof GIS and GPS receiver that employees in utilities, oil and gas, forestry, government and agriculture can utilize to collect field data. Because the device is based on the Windows Mobile 6 open platform, enterprises can select and deploy the GIS software of their choice. Key features include a 2-megapixel camera that allows photos to be geotagged; a microphone that enables capture of voice notes to accompany data; Bluetooth connectivity; and a touch screen.
