The Mesa Rugged Notepad from Juniper Systems features a 5.7-inch active viewing display and is available in three models: Standard, Geo, and Geo 3G. The Standard Mesa features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technology, while the Geo model adds 2- to 5-meter accuracy GPS and a 3.2-MP camera enhanced with Juniper Geotagging, the ability to embed and emboss photos with date, time, and GPS position. The Geo 3G model includes camera, GPS, and a 3G GSM data modem for increased speed and connectivity capabilities. The Mesa is rated IP67, making it fully waterproof and dustproof, and it is tested to MIL-STD-810G for water, humidity, sand and dust, vibration, altitude, shock, and temperature. The Mesa's customizable home screen puts the most-used device functions in an on-screen dashboard. Features include 11 screen gadgets for controlling wireless connections, GPS, texting, e-mail, calendar, and power functions. Availability is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2010.
