Samsung Supports the Lifecycle

— January 08, 2014

As part of its commitment to provide comprehensive business solutions, Samsung Telecommunications America, LLC (Samsung Mobile) has launched Samsung Enterprise Services, a portfolio of services which supports customers through the entire lifecycle of a mobile device deployment and integrates with existing Samsung Mobile enterprise offerings.

Samsung Enterprise Services provides customers with support options in two areas – deployment services and ongoing management. Together with Digital Management, Inc. (DMI), Samsung Mobile now offers a full range of mobile enterprise services including initial needs assessment, device configuration and migration, deployment and development of customized services.

In addition, Samsung MobileCare for Enterprise offers ongoing management support and dedicated service for business customers. The offering simplifies the maintenance, support and management of Samsung Mobile devices – both corporate-issued and employee-owned – through training, technical support, certified repair and extended warranty care.

“Samsung Mobile customers are deploying hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands of our highly sought-after, secure devices in a very short period of time given their need to replace legacy hardware,” said Tim Wagner, Vice President & General Manager, Enterprise Business Unit, Samsung Mobile. “For these customers, an investment in a mobile initiative is much greater than just the cost of purchasing the devices.”

In 2013, Samsung Mobile introduced the Knox security platform and also  launched the Samsung Solutions Exchange to help businesses embrace a ”mobile-first” philosophy and turn off-the-shelf consumer devices into purpose-driven business tools. By combining these offerings with Samsung Enterprise Services, Samsung Mobile has further strengthened its comprehensive portfolio of enterprise solutions and services.

Recently, Samsung Mobile has established a strategic relationship with OtterBox to supply a complete and complementary portfolio of accessory solutions for enterprise customers.

"Samsung Knox brings real enterprise-grade security and privacy protection to Android. This is a huge benefit for end users and IT,” said Jay Sunny Bajaj, Founder & CEO, DMI. “Establishing a relationship with DMI to provide enterprise managed mobility services further extends Samsung’s leadership in the enterprise market. We are very excited to be a part of this industry changing relationship and in helping to lead the charge in empowering working professionals to decide which mobile device best fits their needs for work and play.”
