Accardi Foods Saves $80,000 With Fleet Tracking Solution

Discrete Wireless, Inc., a provider of GPS vehicle tracking and fleet management solutions, announced that its client, Accardi Foods, reduced overtime labor costs by 50% with more accurate payroll costs. This overhead expense saving results in $80,000 labor costs reduction annually.

Joe Russo, director for Accardi Foods, knew there was a discrepancy between hours drivers worked and what was reported. Through a referral, he selected the MARCUS Fleet Tracking solution due to its affordable price and ease of use.

Russo says, “The business associate that referred the MARCUS solution allowed me to ‘test drive’ the application at their office – I found the application to be extremely intuitive with the functionality we needed to improve our driver productivity.”

The MARCUS Fleet Tracking solution acts as a "virtual time card." Russo states that overtime hours were reduced by 50%, resulting in annual savings in $80,000.

Mike Scarbrough, CEO of Discrete Wireless, Inc., says, “The ability to track and modify driver behavior gives our customers a powerful tool to reduce overhead costs, including labor, fuel, maintenance and insurance expenses. In fact our customers cite increased driver productivity and reduced costs as two of the most important benefits of our solution.”
