AirePoint Credit Card Reader Attachment Turns iPad Into POS

— August 03, 2010

For entrepreneurs who need to take mobile credit card payments, Global Tek Labs is now offering the AirePoint credit card reader attachment for iPads.

The small mobile processing solution is the first credit card reader attachment approved by Apple for use with the iPad. Along with the Global Tek Labs' ezPOS app, available from Apple's App store, the solution enables the user to finish secure, authorized transactions (including signature capture and green receipts) in less than one minute.

The AirePoint credit card reader also works with iPhone and iPod Touch devices.

The selection of apps available from Apple enables the business owner to customize the iPad to include any function necessary to work efficiently in the field according to Global Tek Labs.

"For the same price as a traditional wireless terminal, a mobile entrepreneur can use the AirePoint and an iPad to streamline operations," the company reports.

The solution works anywhere there is a cell signal or WiFi access (depending on the type of iPad).

Global Take Labs says it partnered with several merchant service providers and independent sales organizations to distribute the AirePoint and to establish merchant processing accounts for businesses. For a liminited time, the ezPOS app is free with purchase of the AirePoint.
