CASCO Field Staff Pair BlackBerrys with Canvas Software

Canvas announced that Central America’s leader in the safety equipment market, CASCO Safety, has deployed Canvas’s mobile business solution to its field sales staff on BlackBerry devices.    

Before deploying their own customized mobile apps on Canvas, CASCO Safety’s (Central America Safety Company) field sales staff carried a variety of paper-based sales orders, credit applications, equipment claims, first-time-plant-visit forms, and more. These forms and paperwork would come back to the office and would be error-prone, rarely read, archived, or in some cases even damaged or lost. Missed opportunities and lost business was common.

Canvas was able to provide CASCO Safety with an easy-to-use, self-serve, and affordable mobile business application platform with all the power of an expensive custom solution. Using Canvas’s Web-based custom application design tool, CASCO Safety was able to create its own unique mobile apps, as well as find other applications while visiting the Canvas App Store that they could customize to best meet their needs and make their own.

By removing the paperwork and improving the data collected in the field, CASCO Safety was able to go beyond paper to collect and access quality intelligence that was just not possible before. Gathering key information in real time not only on their own clients’ needs but how their competitors are faring is now all very possible in this real-time environment.
