Damaka Launches a Mobile Video Client for Asterisk PBX

Damaka, a provider of mobile communication and collaboration solutions for the enterprise, announced the release of its Xriz application, which allows mobile device users to participate in audio and videoconferencing through Asterisk PBX.

The new mobile video solution takes advantage of Asterisk PBX's audio and video capabilities, as well as the native features of smart devices, without the need for any additional software or hardware. Designed specifically for companies who currently deploy Asterisk, the Xriz with Mobile Video solution allows members of an organization’s mobile-enabled workforce to engage in real-time audio and videoconferencing across a variety of mobile platforms.

Xriz can be used inside or outside of a corporate network, and video-enabled Asterisk users registered with the PBX can be dialed with Xriz and vice versa. Supported features include audio and video call, 3G/4G support, and call forwarding from office extensions.

The new app is now available in the Android Marketplace and Apple App Store. Damaka's other solutions are available on Android, iPhone, iPad, Symbian, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile platforms.
