Dimension Data and AirWatch Team Up

— January 25, 2013

Dimension Data, a global information communications technology solutions and services provider, has signed a global partnership with AirWatch, a mobile device management mobile security provider.

“Dimension Data’s Enterprise Mobility Framework offers a 360-degree view of all the considerations for and areas affected by the move to mobility. Security remains one of the most critical concerns and, if not effectively managed, creates the biggest area of corporate risk," said Matthew Gyde, Dimension Data’s group general manager for security solutions. "Given the multi-geography nature of Dimension Data and our clients, we needed a partner with a powerful technology platform that we could work with across all regions."

According to the company, its clients in South Africa and Europe have welcomed the new partnership, citing the growing need for solutions to manage corporate and employee-owned mobile devices, protect corporate data, distribute enterprise applications, and secure mobile access to corporate documents.

Gyde also noted that AirWatch's advanced API framework allows for close integration with Dimension Data’s telecom expense management offering, Xigo Enterprise.

The partnership and enterprise mobility capabilities will be showcased at AirWatch Connect 2013 taking place at Mobile World Congress.
