Panasonic's Toughbook 31 clamshell notebook offers an Intel Core i5 or i3 processor, 1,100 nit touchscreen display and rugged certifications exceeding MIL-STD-810G and IP65 standards. Display resolution can drop as low as 2 nits for concealed nighttime use by military or public safety workers. Each device has Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth v2.1 +EDR connectivity, with an option for WiMAX capability and Gobi2000 mobile broadband technology from Qualcomm. It also features discrete graphics from an ATI Radeon HD 5650 card to deliver improvements in 3D renderings, important for GIS and other rich applications.
