How Will U.S. Postal Service Maintain 260,000 Vehicles?

By PRESS RELEASE — August 12, 2009

ATLANTA -- The United States Postal Service (USPS) has chosen Ventureforth's mobile and disconnected solutions for maintenance work order and spare parts management, integrated with Oracle's E-Business Suite eAM and supply chain solutions.

Ventureforth's Mi2K Work and Stores applications, powered by Syclo's Agentry mobile platform, were selected for maintaining approximately 260,000 postal vehicles serviced by 220 fleet maintenance centers across the United States.

USPS needed a disconnected solution for vehicle work order management and spare parts inventory that would operate on thousands of ruggedized PDAs.  Ventureforth's Mi2K Stores and Work applications operate in both connected and disconnected modes, and were successfully tested to work with the existing PDAs.

The disconnected functionality provided by Ventureforth's Mi2K applications, the simplified user interface, ease of deployment and training, and out-of-the-box integration with Oracle E-Business Suite R12, are primary reasons that Ventureforth was chosen for this substantial rollout.

"We are extremely excited about this project," said Kevin Wilson, Vice President of Oracle Sales with Ventureforth. "This win really showcases our commitment to and our partnership with Oracle. It also highlights Oracle's confidence in Ventureforth and our ability to deliver world-class and large-scale solutions integrated with Oracle applications."
