Infragistics Releases Three-in-One App Developer

By Gerard Longo, Assistant Editor
Three user interface tools have been combined into one to create MobileAdvantage, the latest mobile app development software from Infragistics.

MobileAdvantage combines elements of Infragistics' own HTML5/jQuery, Windows Phone and NetAdvantage for iOS (beta) toolsets to allow developers to create multi-platform applications. One key feature of MobileAdvantage is its selection of grids and charts for business app development; in an official press release, Infragistics announced that it believes MobileAdvantage has the "widest selection" of chart types on the market.

Infragistics CEO Dean Guida believe users of MobileAdvantage will not at all be limited in their ability to develop high-quality, highly-functioning mobile applications.

“Consumers and professionals are using a multitude of devices across several platforms and expect the same experiences as they move from device to device,” Guida said. “This creates a challenge for developers who want to build their absolute best applications but due to lack of choice or cost, may need to compromise on their development platform. With MobileAdvantage, developers can maintain a competitive edge by extending an application’s reach and deliver delightful cross-platform customer experiences.”

Infragistics also announced that MobileAdvantage has been released with three separate support packages. The software costs $1195 with the priority support package, $695 with standard support and $495 with community support. Additionally, Infragistics announced that all MobileAdvantage users will be automatically upgraded to NetAdvantage for iOS when the new version is released later in 2012.
