JJ Food Services Selects MDM Solution

SOTI Inc. announced the implementation of its MobiControl MDM solution for JJ Food Service Limited, a food, drink and packaging distribution company in the U.K. The partnership allows JJ Food Service to have a centralized mobile device management (MDM) solution for its mobile fleet of 250 devices across the U.K. that offers real-time support, software deployment and GPS location tracking of the mobile workforce.

Richard Smith, strategic account manager at SOTI, believes that an MDM solution can help companies with a mobile fleet like JJ Food Service improve efficiency across its operation.

“Any company that puts in an MDM solution, even if it’s just for 10 devices, is going to see efficiency improve straightaway,” says Smith. “They can really tighten up their workflow.”

JJ Food Service now leverages MobiControl and several of its features, including its secure content locker, self-service kiosk, enterprise app store, device lockdown, real-time remote control, location tracking and geofencing, to manage its mobile workforce.

The partnership addresses JJ Food Services’ need for a centralized MDM solution that enables managers and support personnel to remotely view and control applications running on handheld devices. This has also allowed malfunctioning hardware and software issues to be detected and resolved from one location. It has also enabled the deployment of security policies and software updates to remote users and integration of mobile applications, like JJ Food Services’ JJM Delivery app, into the solution.
