MAM Company Supports iOS 6 with Email App

— September 24, 2012

Enterprise mobile application management (MAM) company Apperian announced support for iOS 6 and the launch of its secure enterprise email management, with a provisioning and de-provisioning capability for enterprises using Microsoft Exchange.

This new feature, which is part of the company's enterprise app services environment (EASE) platform, takes advantage of the native mail, calendar, and contact apps on iOS devices.

The solution prevents IT departments from having to deploy and manage solutions that rely on separate mail, calendar and contact apps, giving them a secure way to help employees provision their devices for use with corporate email. To do so, users launch an app which automatically sets up their corporate email account on their device with the proper server name, port and username.

The de-provisioning feature gives IT departments the ability to remotely and completely remove all of the user's corporate mail, calendar, contact information, and any cached data, leaving personal information untouched.
