MDM Solution Supports New Apple Releases

— September 25, 2012

SOTI announced its support for Apple¹s iPhone 5 and iOS 6. The latest enhancements to the company’s enterprise-grade MobiControl MDM solution include the management of several iOS 6 features, including Passbook and more.

“SOTI fully embraces the mobile device market¹s latest technologies and innovations. We are pleased to offer our enterprise customers immediate, seamless support for iOS 6,” says Carl Rodrigues, president and CEO of SOTI.

The launch of the iPhone 5 and iOS 6 is expected to result in a surge of requests for BYOD policies to support Apple devices enterprise-wide. This solution enables organizations to manage the devices, application deployments and device usage based on pre-defined enterprise policies. As users migrate to the devices, enterprise IT administrators can utilize the solution to simplify device provisioning, updates and lifecycle management.

The addition of management functionality for the new operating system is further enhanced when combined with the solution’s support for Apple Configurator, which allows deployments of the devices in single-use or shared device environments.
