NetMotion Wireless, a leading provider of mobile productivity and management software, announced today that its award winning mobile Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution, Mobility XE, has been deployed by IDEXX to improve the performance of hundreds of mobile workers for accessing wireless data and applications.

IDEXX Laboratories serves practicing veterinarians around the world with a range of diagnostic and information technology-based products and services. The company also provides diagnostic tests and information for the production animal industry and tests for the quality and safety of water and milk. It serves more than 50,000 veterinary practices worldwide "in order to advance medical care, improve staff productivity and increase practice profitability."

"Our Field Sales associates have a number of applications upon which they rely for their day-to-day duties," said Jim Baron, senior IT project manager of IDEXX. "Our workers need a stable and reliable virtual environment with constant access to their applications, no matter the location. With NetMotion Wireless we are able to ensure consistent performance in and out of coverage areas."

"IDEXX utilizes a variety of wireless networks to keep their field force connected across multiple states," said Pam Cory, vice president of marketing, NetMotion Wireless. "With our software, field personnel are able to maintain secure connections, regardless of wireless network conditions, eliminating one major mobile computing challenge for their representatives in the field."

NetMotion Wireless reports that Mobility XE is ensuring that IDEXX employees can remain productive while connecting securely to applications, roam seamlessly between multiple wireless networks, and maintain application stability, even when they move in and out of wireless coverage areas.

NetMotion Wireless software also facilitates reporting on the status of a mobile deployment with its Mobile Analytics Module. The module monitors the performance of all individual applications, devices and users within a mobile deployment with more than 20 pre-configured and customizable reports, enabling IT managers to measure the performance of a mobile deployment and proactively implement productivity changes, where necessary.
