A new, compact label and wristband printer, the CG4, designed for general purpose barcode label applications in the distribution and logistics sector has been launched by SATO.
This latest machine in the company's CG series is designed with performance and affordability in mind and according to the company is ideal for on-demand low to mid-range volumes. It can be used to print labels up to four inches wide for use across a range of industries from manufacturing, transport and retailing, to food and healthcare.
Because it is compact and can be run without a PC, using SATO's standalone keypad option, this new model can be sited almost anywhere, from front office to warehouse, packing station or factory floor.
In addition to printing 4-inch labels, the CG4 comes in a choice of 203 or 305 dpi (dots per inch) and thermal transfer/direct thermal versions. It incorporates the latest in on-board linear and 2D barcode symbologies, including GS1 Databar, which enables more information than ever before to be incorporated into a smaller barcode.
It also features multiple interfaces such as USB, LAN, parallel and serial.
