Telephonics Receives Follow-Up $2 Million From Air Force

By PRESS RELEASE — January 20, 2009

Telephonics Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Griffon Corporation, announced that it has been awarded a $2M follow-on contract from the U.S. Air Force (USAF) for TruLink Wireless Intercommunication Systems.
The TruLink system will be used by Aeromedical Evacuation (AE) teams to provide clear voice communications between team members, thereby enhancing the safe transport and care of patients aboard military aircraft. TruLink enables the AE medical crew director, flight nurse and medical technicians to move freely around the aircraft, untethered by restrictive and dangerous cords, while maintaining clear voice communication with each other in the high noise environment of an aircraft.

"We are pleased to continue to provide these systems that enhance the operational safety and capability of the personnel during these critical Aeromedical Evacuation missions", stated Phil Nicholas, President of Telephonics' Communication Systems Division. "The TruLink wireless voice communication system continues to be used across the Army, Navy, Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard to enhance the safety of our military personnel during dangerous and critical operational missions."

A subsidiary of Griffon Corporation, Telephonics' high-technology engineering and manufacturing capabilities provide integrated information, communication and sensor system solutions to military and commercial markets worldwide.
Telephonics specializes in aircraft intercommunication systems, wireless communication systems, radars, identification friend or foe products, integrated security systems, air traffic management systems, aerospace electronics, and the performance of threat and radar system analyses.
