Avotus Announces Global Telecom Expense Management Implementation with Motorola

TORONTO & BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Avotus Corporation, a leading provider of Telecom Management Services, including Expense Management (TEM), eProcurement, and usage management solutions announced that it has been awarded a multi-year contract with Motorola (NYSE: MOT) to manage the Company's expense management of billing for voice, data and wireless telecom solutions globally.
As part of the project, Avotus will manage Motorola's global fixed and mobile device inventory and spend tracking along with providing other key communications management technology and managed services.

"We are working aggressively to achieve telecom cost reductions across our entire organization, and we believe there is a significant opportunity to optimize our telecom spend throughout our global workforce without compromising quality or performance," said Michael Pencek, Global Director of Networks and Telecommunications. "Our implementation with Avotus will help us establish a centralized infrastructure from which to manage all of our telecom spending while continuing to employ the proper solutions to meet our global business needs. We are pleased to be working with Avotus, and look forward to putting in place the necessary systems to streamline our voice, data and wireless spending on a global basis."

"We are very excited be to working with Motorola," said Richard S. Garnick, executive chairman and CEO of Avotus. "We believe we'll be able to add substantial value to Motorola by first effectively analyzing how and where they are deploying telecom resources and then identifying opportunities to work more effectively. Looking ahead, we believe the TEM industry will continue to evolve away from simple commodity-based solutions. Corporations will require a higher-level, more comprehensive approach to telecom management as solutions become more complex and businesses require real-time global connectivity to remain competitive."

"During the past year, we've seen acceleration in all sectors of the TEM market, especially as enterprises begin to see the value in improved processes and greater control over one of their largest indirect expense areas," said Eric Goodness, vice president, Gartner Group. "The move toward more comprehensive TEM solutions that include wireless and mobile management, as well as eProcurement and Usage Management goes beyond simple cost reduction and now includes higher-level business process outsourcing functions that challenge corporations to approach TEM from the top-down to transform the way they manage their telecom spend. This is particularly critical for multi-national companies and firms that have a global reach."

Avotus' range of capabilities includes its suite of Intelligent Communications Management (ICM) telecom solutions which include: ICM eProcurement, ICM Expense Management and ICM Usage Management as well as a comprehensive set of consulting services that help companies understand, rationalize and cost-optimize their communications usage and spend, turning what was basic infrastructure into a competitive advantage. These solutions far exceed simple invoice processing, validation and reconciliation by offering a complete lifecycle management approach, starting at procurement and running through the life of the contracts. Avotus' offerings are based on a foundation of best practices that the Company has developed through decades of telecom industry experience.
