Anticipated Motorola Droid X Makes Its Way on Verizon Network

The anticipated Motorola Droid X is available on the Verizon network, effective July 15, 2010.

Features of the phone include WiFi capability, HDMI output, 8-megapixel camera with 720p video recording, 1.0 Ghz processor, and a 4.3" FWVGA LCD display. The Droid X comes with 8 GB of internal flash memory and a 16GB MicroSD card included right out of the box (Verizon offers a card upgradeable to 32GB for total memory expansion of up to 40 GB.)

Motorola and Verizon tout the droid for its enterprise features as well as for its call quality and multimedia capabilities.

Verizon reported that prior to midnight on June 15, hundreds of customers  lined up outside Verizon Wireless Communications Stores in U.S. cities, including at special midnight openings in Columbia, Md. and Frisco, Texas, to be among the first to purchase the device.
