DSI's App Gives Salesforce Critical Data in the Field

— May 09, 2011

Data Systems International (DSI) announces the general release of MOBILEApps Sales for DSI's mobile platform, dcLINK. MOBILEApps Sales is a packaged solution that empowers sales staff in the field by granting mobile access to crucial information such as sales orders, customer information, item pricing and availability.

MOBILEApps Sales provides access to details for daily sales routes, giving the ability to prioritize stops to maximize the efficiency of customer visits. A mobile inventory component offers an up-to-date glimpse at item availability, eliminating the potential costs of lost items, duplications, and other errors. As with all of DSI's mobile applications, MOBILEApps Sales is designed to work in a connected or disconnected environment. Remote workers are able to complete tasks regardless of network coverage.

"Convenient field access to this information is essential to excellent customer service, which drives sales," says Kyle Dunn, product manager for DSI. "Having the customers' details on hand facilitates a rapport between sales staff and clients, advancing both efficiency and customer satisfaction. Reliable inventory data ensures the user can make critical decisions at the point of sales, keep customers informed of options, and plan ahead for futures sales stops. The streamlined interface allows for rapid entry of sales orders and other information, reducing time devoted to documenting tasks so sales staff can get more face time with customers and focus on other sales opportunities."

The application includes automated functions designed to work out of the box for quicker implementation and return on investment. In addition, the flexibility of the dcLINK platform allows for the tailoring of functions according to unique operations of each business. A standard signature capture feature helps document completion of sales by automatically recording the signature, time, date and geocode indicating the details of when and where a sale or delivery occurred and who accepted it.

All MOBILEApps are built using the dcLINK mobile platform. dcLINK provides diverse mobile device deployment options, standard integrations to leading commercial enterprise applications and databases, multi-language capability, and a powerful tool for creating unique mobile processes.
