New Rugged Tablets Built for Windows Integration

Motion Computing announced its next generation F5t and C5t Tablet PCs for mobile workers across vertical markets, such as field service, healthcare, construction and retail.

The new F5t and C5t tablets are powered by third generation Intel Core processors and offer up to six hours of battery life. The tablets also have Motion’s hot-swap battery feature and are built to run on Windows for business integration.

Mobility and Performance Usability

The new F5t was designed specifically for use in field service environments and features a display that allows for use indoors and out with the combination of Motion’s View Anywhere technology, Corning Gorilla Glass and dual-touch input.

Motion’s new rugged tablet PCs also come available with the option of three Intel processors: the Intel Core i3, the Intel Core i5 processor and Intel Core i7 vPro platform, the latter of which is intended to provide devices with tighter security.

Field Usability and Connectivity

The new Motion tablet PCs are compatible with Windows 8 and feature a multi-touch user interface. Users are also connected through optional communications support such as integrated Gobi connectivity and integrated GPS with support for wide area augmentation system (WAAS), euro geostationary navigation overlay service (EGNOS), and multi-purpose satellite augmentation system (MSAS) to aid accuracy and satellite acquisition time.

Rugged Capabilities

Motion’s new tablet PCs are rugged devices. Both the F5t and C5t are built around a magnesium-alloy internal frame, meet MIL-STD-810G and IP-54 standards and are able to withstand bumps, drops and exposure to dust and moisture.
