Rave Wireless, Alertus Technologies Partner to Expand Rave's Emergency Notification Capabilities to Alert Beacons

By PRESS RELEASE — February 05, 2009

Rave Wireless, Inc., the leading provider of safety applications for mobile users, announced a partnership with Alertus Technologies to enable customers to easily transmit emergency messages to Alertus Technologies' Alert Beacons from within Rave Alert. Increasingly, colleges and universities are looking to deliver emergency communications across as many media types as possible, including wall-mounted Alert Beacons. However, institutions would like to utilize a single integrated user interface from which to create and manage these alerts. This integration marries two industry leading technologies and provides clients with a powerful solution for ensuring emergency notifications are disseminated as quickly and as effectively as possible.

"Rave Alert's message delivery performance is unsurpassed in the industry, and we are very excited to extend our ability to quickly notify students, faculty and administrators via Alertus' unique integrated audible visual building notification beacons", said Todd Piett, Rave Wireless' vice president of product. "We highly recommend our customers take a holistic view of emergency notifications, and Alert Beacons placed in high traffic areas are a key part of a broader strategy. Alertus Technologies is a recognized leader in this space and we are excited about the opportunities this partnership affords our clients."

"Since 2002, we have helped hundreds of campus and community leaders equip their facilities with reliable and localized alerting capabilities to ensure emergency information is delivered to their stakeholders where and when needed", said Gary El-Gamil, Alertus Technologies' vice president of industry relations. "By activating Alert Beacons via Rave Wireless' award winning software, joint clients benefit from the simplicity of a single interface to rapidly dispatch vital alerts to personal devices as well as across their facilities."
