SoundHound has released a completely redesigned version of its mobile application for Android tablets, leveraging Google’s new graphical user interface. The updated version features an entirely new layout and design, making content more easily discoverable and accessible along with a generally improved browsing experience.
"By utilizing the tablet's larger screen space and leveraging new tools from Google, users can much more fluidly navigate within the app and have access to more content in one location,” said James Hom, SoundHound's Vice President of Products.
The redesigned app is available today for Google’s Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets as well as Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Kindle HD, through Google Play and the Amazon Appstore.
As part of the design launch, the company also deepens its relationship with Rdio, the digital music service. Launch partner for this new tablet in the U.S., Rdio continues as the featured partner for the interactive mapping feature that allows users to see what songs have been recently SoundHound’ed in their geographic area.
