Ultrathin Keyboard for iPad Mini

— February 13, 2013

Logitech has introduced its Ultrathin Keyboard mini, a slim protective keyboard cover designed for the iPad mini.

“Think of it as the other half of your iPad mini," said Alexis Richard, director of brand development for tablet accessories.

Attaching securely with the click of integrated magnets, the keyboard has a slim aluminum cover that matches the iPad mini for durable protection with minimal weight. It offers built-in Bluetooth EasyType keyboard, a traditional typing layout in a small seven-inch form factor, plus shortcut keys for commands used most often, such as copy and paste.

The new keyboard also doubles as a hands-free view stand.

In addition, the keyboard has an instant on/off feature, which means iPad mini automatically wakes up upon opening the cover and switches to standby when closed. The keyboard itself has a three-month battery life (based on usage of two hours per day).
