TeleNav offers a fleet management service that integrates GPS, vehicle diagnostics and automated IFTA fuel tax filing. TeleNav Vehicle Manager is available exclusively from Sprint. It pairs an electronic on-board recorder via Bluetooth with a GPS-enabled wireless phone to gather and submit engine diagnostics, driver performance info, odometer readings, mileage reports, wireless forms and wireless timecards. Supervisors can access online mapping and real-time location reports for payroll verification, among other features. Price: $50 per month per device plus one-time setup fee of $40 and Sprint data plan.

LBS Enhancements

Gearworks enhances its location-based mobile workforce management suite with eTrace 7.0. The Web-based solution uses the GPS capabilities of wireless phones to enable enterprises to supervise and coordinate mobile employees in near real-time. eTrace 7.0 features turn-by-turn directions, new mileage calculation capabilities and picture capture. The mobile device's phone number to automatically activate and sync it with the Web portal, and log in the mobile worker linked to that device upon activation. Price: $12-$40 per user/month, plus carrier data plan.
