AppGlu Releases MEAP for Mobile Apps

AppGlu has launched a new Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP) that is designed to give businesses direct control of their mobile apps after launch. The platform’s Control Center allows employees to update and publish new app content, track content and user activity, and engage users with personalized content and targeted push marketing.

“If mobile applications are not actively managed and maintained after a launch they can easily become stale and irrelevant,” said Adam Fingerman, Founder and CEO of AppGlu. A salesforce, for example, will need to publish new product information in order to stay up to date.

The platform’s Content Sync Engine simplifies development by allowing developers to build backend connected apps, as if they were regular local apps. The patent-pending sync engine automatically handles data integration and synchronization between an app’s local storage and a professionally managed backend.

The MEAP also allows developers to continue using the native application development tools and frameworks of their choice. AppGlu provides lightweight SDKs for iOS, Android, and HTML5 apps, and ready-to-run sample apps with full source code available for a variety of B2E, B2B and B2C applications.

Key features include:
  • Content management optimized for mobile, with offline synchronization of data, and customization of the data based on user behavior and preferences
  • Management insights, graphs, and reports to show how users interact with the app's content
  • User engagement that includes the ability to send custom targeted push notifications to users based on their behavior, preferences, and use of the app's content.
