DLI Unveils Rugged Vehicle Mount Computer

DLI, a manufacturer of rugged tablets, in-vehicle computers, and mobile POS devices has released its DLI 9300 Vehicle Mount Computer.

A fifth-generation design, the DLI 9300 VMC is built to operate in the harshest of industrial environments. Housed in a ruggedized metal enclosure with IP54-rated protection from dust and water, it meets or exceeds MIL STD. 810F for shock and vibration.

The 8.4" industrial-rated resistive LCD touch screen comes with an optional heated screen defroster, allowing it to be operated in extreme cold temperatures as low as -22°F.

Concurrent operating wireless communications include WiFi, CDMA and GPRS, Bluetooth and GPS. The computer features a dual core Intel Atom processor and a fully mapped 72-key backlit QWERTY keyboard with number pad and 12 function keys.

In addition, the device has an integrated power-filtering DC converter (10~75V input) with integrated battery backup and a variety of ports, including two USB 2.0 locking connectors, two RS232 or one VGA port, and one Ethernet 10/100/1000.

The rugged computer can run on Windows 7, Windows Embedded 7, Linux 2.6 (Ubuntu) and Android 4.0 ICS . Integrated data collection technologies allow users to manage factory floor operations, material handling activities, quality control inspections and more.

Designed and manufactured in the United States, the DLI 9300 VMC will be available for delivery to both end users and resellers starting June 2013. Its starting price is $1,630.
