Intermec Enhances Rugged Mobile Computers With RFID

Intermec, Inc. is now offering integrated RFID capabilities for its CK70, CN70 and CN70e mobile computers. Part of the 70 Series family, these three "no-compromise" devices now have a fully-integrated UHF RFID reader with no external antenna - adding advanced RFID reading capabilities to a compact, rugged design.

Geared to warehousing, direct store distribution, field service and parcel delivery, the upgraded products debuted at the recent National Retail Federation Show in New York City's Javits Convention Center.

Designed specifically for customers seeking a mobile RFID solution for demanding, in-premise environments, the new reader platform supports medium to long-range read distances. It is optimized to read one or many tags in support of inventory and asset tracking applications in retail, healthcare, industrial and government market segments.

With a single platform approach, the 70 Series RFID offers a one architecture/one software build, with one set of peripherals and one charging system. Additionally, the series is compatible with the entire suite of original series accessories including the FlexDock modular docking system.
