Mocana Protects Panasonic Toughpad Tablet
Mocana, a security solutions firm, is providing its KeyDAR Encryption mobile security product for the new ToughPad JT-B1, a 7-inch Android-powered Panasonic tablet to be available in March.
The enterprise-grade product, which is FIPS 140-2 validated, will be pre-loaded on the rugged tablet. The security app is designed to provide level 1 certified encryption to protect data-at-rest.
KeyDAR Encryption is fully cross-platform, and works on all versions of the Android OS, as well as all Android-supported hardware platforms.
The rugged tablet was introduced at the recent Consumer Electronics Show, featuring a IPsec VPN, trusted boot and root protection. Designed for mission-critical and highly mobile workers in verticals including military, construction, healthcare, public safety, utilities, retail, maintenance, supply chain logistics and insurance, the ToughPad JT-B1tablet has been MIL-STD-810G tested for drops, fluid ingress and temperature to assure it delivers reliable performance under circumstances that render tablets non-operational.
