Updated SlideShark App for iPad Gets Multi-User Capabilities

By Ariel Jones

Brainshark, a provider of online and mobile presentation solutions, recently announced an updated version of their SlideShark iPad application. SlideShark Team Edition provides enterprises with multi-user functionality and offers more support for centralized content management across multiple mobile-enabled employees.

The original SlideShark iPad app, which launched in October 2011, solved PowerPoint presentation issues that arose from converting slides to PDFs for display. The new Team Edition lets teams (ie, sales teams) to apply this functionality on a larger scale, and comes equipped with new features to increase productivity in the enterprise.

New features include shared team content, with which users can securely access, view, and present PowerPoint presentations that authorized administrators and team members have uploaded and designated for shared use. In addition, individual members can upload their own files and establish personal access and viewing. Designated team administrators are also given new management tools, including the ability to add or remove users, change user permissions, manage billing centrally, and assign administrative controls.

SlideShark provides users with 5 GB of total storage for shared team content and personal user content, and all documents uploaded through SlideShark are protected through their secure and scalable enterprise-grade cloud computing infrastructure.

"SlideShark Team Edition represents the next, natural evolution for our product and comes, in large part, in response to user demand," said Brainshark CEO Joe Gustafson. "With SlideShark Team Edition, we now look forward to helping teams better access and manage their PowerPoint content - and of course, view it anytime, on-the-go, and completely intact on their iPads."
